Lynn did a great job of explaining cloud computing and the different levels of cloud service but the highlight of the presentation was the demo. It’s not every senior tech executive that will login on the guest broadband, start administrating virtual machines and running apps. At one point Lynn had Windows running remotely on her iPhone; whoa, sorry about that Steve!
VR Storm appears to have a compelling model and hopefully presentations like this will alleviate some of the mystique and ignorance in the marketplace about cloud computing. It’s a pretty simple value proposition; do you want to buy, own, run and maintain your own processing power, operating system, memory and storage or do you want to pay as you go for them in the Cloud? It’s great to have a choice.
